Methodology
No black box. Here's the entire pipeline that runs every time you add a name to your watchlist.
For each ticker, we hit the live ASX market-data endpoint and pull the 20 most-recent announcements. Run on-demand, never pre-indexed.
Each announcement is normalised to (date, title, type, market-sensitive flag, source URL). Cached for 30 minutes to spare the upstream API.
Our AI extraction engine reads the recent announcement set as a single context. With a cached system prompt, it identifies forward-looking commitments and outputs structured JSON.
Each catalyst gets a confidence score (High / Medium / Low) with an inline reason — a judgement on date/event certainty, not a price-action prediction — plus the ASX market-sensitive flag where applicable.
Catalysts land on the unified timeline coloured by ticker, with a confidence dot and market-sensitive marker. Hover for a tooltip; click for source.
New filings re-trigger the pipeline. If a company re-guides a date, we re-extract, update the timeline, and re-arm matching alerts.
Confidence grading
The company has given an explicit calendar date in a release. Lowest extraction error.
A guided window like "late Q2" or "1H FY26". We assign the midpoint.
Inferred from cadence (e.g. quarterly reporting lands on day 18). Useful awareness, not a precise date.
